4th gens don't have the controls on the steer wheel.

IIRC I think there is a way, but you need to buy an adapter, check the Audio section someone there should be able to help you out.

Cool, thanks for that.

I'm still a while away from getting a new new unit, but I'll definitely be thinking about this one. Not sure if I should spend the extra $$ and get a dvd player one.

well if u dont mind getting it used you can get a Pioneer AVIC-D2 or D3 for a good price on ebay. i got my D2 in low $300s and i prefer it because the Dual Disc slots and even if alot of ppl rag on pioneer its always been my fav HU. just make sure if you buy on ebay u ask specifically if the have both nav discs, gps antenna & mounting plate, wire harness, av in/out harness, and if you want it to be more accurate you can buy the speed signal and reverse signal lead wires (cuz they probably wont have them), or you can make them yourself (its a piece of wire with a bullet connector on one end.)

EDIT: the D2 is not a DVD player but you can ad it. D3 is a DVD player.
