Exhaust rattle caused by Cat?

I noticed when i installed my pipe a couple weeks ago i got a pretty bad rattle...thought it was a loose bolt or 02 sensor...i tightened everything up...and did the rubber mallet test...the y pipe rattled after the flex but between the cat...and i remember my Cat being pretty rusty inside...

could that be whats causing my head to ache when i push on the gas or the flex section?

its a warpspeed Y btw with a 2 1/4 crushed magnaflow cat back

What do you mean between the cat? Between the cat and what?

Take it down, check it out. It's possible the material inside has become loose and started to rattle around.

between the Cat and the flex section of the Y pipe...

ill take it off tomorrow since ive got the day off..im hoping that it...but woudl it be possible for a rusted out Cat to also be the cause of a rattle?

Do you mean that hangar? That's the only thing between the cat and the flex section.

As I said, if the material inside the cat has broken apart, it could cause a rattle.

Could be parts eating out from the cat and dangling around when the car starts.
