I went to start my car last nite and when I turned the ignition nothing happened. Everything shut off lights, radio everything. I got a jump from a friend and the car started up. When I put the car in gear everything shut off again. However the lights on the door and the security light still lit up. Took the battery to autozone this morning and they said everything was good with the battery. I'm cluless as to what could be going on. The alternator was replaced a year and a half ago so I don't think that's the problem.

 

check your battery terminals. I had that problem too

 

There was a lof that green fuzz lookin stuff on the positive terminal.
