i chenged all the belts and its still there like a lill mini supercharger noise. my maitenence is good everything new. never had it before untill now any clue im so long. checked the cold air intake checked every little thing but just cant figure it out. any one have any clue?

You might need to change 1 of your pulleys or tighten 1 up.

May be the tensioner bearing.

I had that noise once...it turned out to be the idler pulley.

and what'd u do with the pulley change it?

i just found out from the previous owner of the car (my brother) that no belts have been changed since stock. 144k miles on the car what else should i be changing with the belts

If your worry was that the belts were never changed, and you changed the belts...what else do you mean?

Do you mean as far as overall maintenance? Follow the maintenance schedule and give it a look over for anything else that may need to be done.

Have you tried taking the belts off and spinning all of the pulleys by hand? It most likely is the tensioner pulley.

That or you could use the screwdriver method to pinpoint the location.

I have the same noise right now too.

Take a screw driver and pin point where you think the noise is coming from. Put your ear on it and see if you get any vibration or sound out of it. If you get nothing try another place until one of the 2 happens.

The center bolt of the tensioner pulley doesn't turn. While the engine is running, you can touch a screwdriver to it and tell if that bearing is going out.

There are several other bearings on the belt such as the alternator bearing and the AC compressor clutch bearing. But they are turning so different method is used to isolate those. The screwdriver method works for the tensioner bearing.

I think the complete pulley plus adjusted assembly is about $75 at the dealer. The bearing in the pulley itself should press out. Then it be only $5-$10 for that bearing.

Hell, the pulley alone is $41.95. You could press out the bearing and find a replacement, but it'll probably be a PITA to find the correct one.
