YES! It's like I baught a new car. Very quiet on bumps and highway cracks. These are the best struts I've ever rode on in any of my vehicles.

Good. I'm not crazy. Ya, it rides like a new car. And it blows my mind that its a performance strut. Usually, that would mean to me that the ride would become harsher in order to get the tighter ride. Best money I've ever spent thats for sure.....

Glad to see everyone likes these and they are quiet. I think I might get some within like 2 monthas or so so I like to see that they are holding up to expectations.

I know I don't have a Max, but mine are the same way. Anyone who lives in Dallas can attest to the stupid bridge joints and how it sounds like you just ran over the grand canyon, but after I put my AGX's on it seemed like the car was more solid and the noise was dampened quite a bit. You definetly aren't crazy... you can even notice it on other cars besides the Max.

so what you are all saying is that you CAN have your cake AND eat it! i may have to get some of these myself since you all say the handling is improved and noise reduced WITHOUT a harsher ride.

Now, I wouldn't say my ride isn't harsh, but then again I do have my fronts set to 3 out of 4 and my backs set to 6 out of 8.. but if you want softer you can adjust to that. I really like the H&R and AGX combo.

All I can say is the more I drive my car with the AGX's on, the more and more I love the way it rides. These are hands down the best strut I've ever rode on in any car I've had.

Sounds good.....

What it KYB AGX? is it full set suspension? coil over?
I think I want it.... I want more quiet ride..... getting sick of road noise.......
BTW, do you mean like less road noise? or other?
i'm still trying to figure out how a suspension can effect your road noise.... :0

how much are those?
is it lower than standard?

No, it's not a full suspension, just the shocks (or struts, whichever the Max takes).

I paid $400 for mine. I'm not sure what you mean by lower than standard.

heck, i even noticed an improvement when i upgraded my '95 from steel wheels and hubcaps to the slightly wider SE rims and tires. i can only imagine how much more "interesting" the car gets when changing struts and springs to the performance versions. as long as my 34 year old back doesn't suffer as a result.

My 20 year old back suffered man... not to mention my 25 year old b/f's back. All I have to say is get a spring compressor when changing!! Pep Girls will rent them.

This is not a lowering kit, you have to buy the springs seperately.
When you buy AGX's you are just getting the shock/strut.

Yeah, $400 for 4. Go to www.tirerack.com and check them out, search for KYB AGX under suspension.

Effects of a strut/shock change

The topic here is KYB AGX adjustable shocks and struts. For more information, go to: http://www.kyb.com

Shocks & struts cannot change your ride-height. Only changing your springs can have this effect.
