Engine Temperature in a 96 GLE
I have 3 4th gens, a 95 gxe, a 96 gle, and a 99 I30 cali spec.
When the cars are warmed up, both the 95 & the 99 temp gauge needle sit at about 9 o'clock. The 96, however sits at about 8 o'clock. (BTW: no codes or other issues)
I first noticed this about a year ago, the car seemed to be taking a long time to warm up. After some searching, I replaced the thermostat, assuming it was stuck open. The temperature still reads a little bit low and I have no other symptoms.
I am not really worried, since there don't appear to be any problems. I would like some input from other org'ers. Any thoughts?
Where does your temperature gauge sit?
Rob.

The stock gauge is a joke. I have an aftermarket temp gauge which moves all over while the stock needle doesn't even budge. When you're in the "normal" range temps could be anywhere from 150-220*. Don't sweat it! LOL
