Starting Probs When Cold
hey guys
im looking for some help here with my car because im not looking to spend too much money.. when my car is cold and i come to start it up in the morning it takes a while for it to start i have to keep holding the key fof about a min or so, than it sometimes backfires, than it starts.
when it does start the rpm goes high and than it drops down quickly (only one time) as if the car is gonna shut off and than it goes back to normal which is over 1000 rpm than works its way down as the car gets warm.
this only happens when i come to start the car in the morning.
other than that the rest of the day the car is absolutely fine...
any ideas?
starter crank sensor?
idk
help...
thanks guys

if you have no codes and didnt really mean 1 minute...i think we have practically the same problem.i experience this everytime the temp drops in FL, so i got new IACV gasket and waiting to do the cleaning.

Same sort of thing happens to my car...I have to hold the key down for a bit and hear it tryign to crank a couple of times before it actually starts up...But then throughout the day it starts up like a beauty. I believe this is all normal.

I belive it's not. Even with my no IACV and cold winters here in Iowa mine sounds like it starts better than your guy's
