Blue Fog lights

Hey guys, i'm looking for options on how to get my fog lights to have a nice blue color, or even purple but I don't know if that's possible without some type of HID kit?

I was looking for some tint film type stuff, but I couldn't find any. I can't find any good bulbs locally anywhere like Autozone, PepBoys etc. So I was just wondering what some of you use and maybe if you have a picture too!

Thanks!

8000-10000K HIDs, but your usable light output will be garbage.

50-75 is really not that expensive. just get a hid kit w/at least 8000K for blue colors.

I hope you are just using them for show, b/c they are going to blind oncoming drivers.

You're defeating any purpose of your fogs by going anything past white. Fogs should be on the yellow side.

just for show in this case

but why not just get some purple bulbs from luminics instead of spend 50+ on an HID kit? I don't want to blind people, just have a nice blue or purple color.

If they're just for show then hey, why not save a little and get Luminics? They can be very blue with little output, but that doesn't matter since they're just for show.

That's what I was thinking! I am just going to get them for my fog lights anyways, which I have just been running without for a while now so I wont be losing any light really.

Shouldn't have to sacrifice OEM quality:

When you say that they will be for "show" do you mean show car or what. Cause if your planning on building a show car and cannot come out 75 for some hids, then I would like to see how you would build a show car.

Are you referring to McCullough? They kind of gave a bad name to aftermarket HID kits and went out of business. Quality standards, although maybe not as high as OEM, have improved over the years.

Lol, no, I'm not building a show car. I just want pretty fogs. That's all.

Our fogs are useless. Their output is pure trash. I've had them with HID's and halogen, re-aimed, etc. etc. Pure garbage.

Fog lights on these cars for show.

Exactly. Headlights are for light output on our cars. Should be more than enough.

I think if you want to get "pretty" foglights with function get some PIAA's. They have great light output and i think they have a blue halo and or fogs available. Try E-Bay, search works nice.....keyword: PIAA.........GL
