New ebrake boot.

So I was bored over the weekend and i decided to redo my ebrake boot since it was destroyed.. So I went and bought some black leather. It took me about one full day to do this by hand, but it turned out excellent. Instead of the buttons I sewed on a black zipper instead. Of course I used the original frame when i made it also. Just seeing what people think....

Oh yeah, I am redoing my shifter boot in black leather, thats the reason why its not there!

Before pics..

After Pics..

It'd be interesting to see what you would charge for it considering it took you a whole day to make

Well, I hand make each one which is why it took so long to make, I am kinda a perfectionist, So, I dunno basic black with black stitching i would say about $30? The Leather alone is expensive. The only thing that would suck If I do make them for other people I would need THEIR old boot so I can reuse the frame so It would be a perfect fit each time.. I dont mind making them though, you guys let me know.

If anyone wants to do this, I would be able to get it back to you within 7 days. I am going to try to find frames for them from nissan or something. Shifter boot just got done. turned out so good looking!

Oh yea. I had a class called "home ec" or something, I have no clue why I was put in there but i guess I learned a little something from that class! lol

Well Actually I can make the boots, both of them but like the Redline boots you would have to fish them through. That would be much easier. But if u want it to be ready to go and and just install it yourself, it would be easier, then you would have to send it to me.

Shifter boot and e-brake boot.

Well If I can get 10-15 people to buy either ebrake or shift boot. I will sell them for $20 each. It is real leather. Its a very good price from what ive seen online.

That looks great. I like it a lot. If you need the stock parts you can probably pull some from a junk yard. This way it will be the original nissan and it will be cheap.

the problem with ebay brake boots r that the bottom metal frame is not sturdy and once piece like the stock brake boot. make your own frame with a coat hanger and trash the old one. the new brake boot should slid in towards the dash then clip in using some force.
GOOD LUCK

You did an excellent job. Very impressive. But I feel you should use brown/tan leather for the e-brake boot since your console is brown.

Carrera, thanks for the idea, you gave me the motivation to get my gf to make me one since she can sew and I probably can't for the life of me. Anyways might not be real leather like yours, but no body can tell the difference.

Here's whats left of the old shift boot (only pic I have) and e brake boot:

After:

The e-brake boot is currently in progress. So far everything took about 4+ hours. Will update when completed and installed.

Thanks again Carrera, for the motivation. Wanted to buy redlines kit, but money so tight I can't afford $84 shipped for a kit. This only costed me $8 for material.

How do you guys destroy those boots so bad? I've owned my SE for 15 years (and 203K miles) and - though they show a little wear - the boots both are in great shape overall.

Maybe they'll start to disintegrate in another 100K miles or so though.

Damn my pics are huge!! lol. I'll resize it. Sorry.

As far as destroying the boots, it beats the hell outta me. I bought this car and there was barely anything left.

I know in my 5 speed i use my ebrake alot. and i tend to pull it as far as i can(bad habit)when i park my car.

I also like to pull the ebrake during winter times as well

But back to the topic. Nice job man looks clean. I know for sure you would have some good buisness if you sold at 20 dollars a peice. and i bet if you sold them as a pair for lets say 30-35 the set you would be getting some other mods for your car
