Lower Tie Bar II install for automatic

Hi guys,

I was trying to install my LTB2 today and ran into a wall fast.

1. There is a pan (I'm guessing tranny pan) in the way of the driver's side LCA front bolt. I bought a universal joint and it seems to fit ok, but I can't get the same amount of torque on it this way. Is there a better way to do this?

2. Different design of LTB2 than on Vqpower?
The one I bought seems not to bolt to a place behind the wheels (with the cup-looking thing) but rather just another bolt on the LCA. Did they change designs?

Are there any automatic guys with LTB2s? Did you guys experience any of this upon installation?

For reference: http://www.vqpower.com/v2/articles.php?article_id=67

Thanks.

Got any pics of what you're seeing? That might help.

If I didn't have family in town, I'd have offered to come by...

Sure, here is the one of the bolt that I had to use the universal joint to get to fit:

and the bolt that the rear attaches to instead of the one on Vqpower. (on the bottom)

Thanks man, i may have to take you up on your offer when you have the time

That's not what I wanted to hear

I really want to try it, as it's been sitting in my backseat for like 4 months.

Anyone else have this problem?

edit: I just realized that the swear filter ***s out your name

I got mine to fit with headers....you can get it to work for you.

nothing is impossible, but a lift maybe needed

When we did it on my auto, we loosened the swivel on the LCA and did some prying with a big *** crowbar, and got the room we needed to make it work...IT CAN BE DONE!

Hmm...what did you do to "loosen the swivel on the LCA"? I haven't really messed with the suspension too much, so you're going to have to be specific.

I'm sorta confused as to what you were prying too. details?
