Thats what I thought, I hate Long Island. BTW you should of seen all the metal stuck to the magnets when the mechanic dropped the pan. He said hes never seen that much metal in a tranny before and the dealer probably put metal shavings in the tranny fluid to hide the slipping. I bought the car 10 months ago and the tranny felt fine until about a month ago. I took some pics I will post them tomorrow.

If you were to buy a used transmission from me with 60k and have me put it in, it will come out to like $650 or so. installed

For 14-1500, you should be getting a complete REBUILT transmission put in your car. If your willing to pay that price, go to a honest transmission shop and at least get a warranty with the job for that price. If the trans they put in has high milage, and goes out in another 10 months, guess where you'll be with that used unit?
Pmohr's right, 2-300 (500 tops!) for a used unit from a yard (possible free from the site, if you're willing to go get it) and install it your self. Or get a transmission shop to rebuild it and at least get a 1-2 year warranty so you don't have to worry about it.
