anyone change their 95-96 airbag and steering wheel to a 97-99?

I did and now the airbag light's flashing. everything bolted up fine and went smooth. i disconnected the battery currently in hopes of the ecu resetting itself but has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it? thanks

I didnt have any problems when I did mine. Did you have the battery disconnected when you were changing everything out?

ill try resetting the ecu manually by turning the friggn screw

I highly doubt resetting the cars ecu will do anything to help. But try this...

Open the driver's door. Note the rubber covered button, a button which is
pressed by the door when the door is closed. This is the Driver's Door
Switch (DDS).

Turn the ignition from OFF to ON. Press the DDS at least 5 times within 7
seconds after turning the ignition switch ON. Turn the ignition OFF.
Close the driver's door. Start the engine.

Have you read the code, to see what exactly it's complaining about?

The ECU has nothing to do with the airbag light.
