couple o questions
After I bought a '96 GLE, I should have known I was gonna have troubles with it. Not because of the car, but becuase of my past experiences with used cars in general. But as expected spent 10.5 on it and then 2 weeks after I owned it -- new tranny! Since then a little under a year ago its been back like 7 or 8 times and is still not right. So I paid 2,100 dollars for crap. Let's see . . . other problems that I have had are little things that would only annoy someone who spends alot of time in his/her car like I do. Such as the really annoying rattling sound that comes from under the hood or behind the dash at and only at 60 to 63 m.p.h. and then quits. But since I dont spend much time at that speed I have been able to put up with it for the two weeks that it's been doin it, but what ****es me off is that I can't figure out what the hell it is. Any ideas? what else? Oh yea there's a slight 'pudder' in the steering wheel when I'm goin any above 30-35 . . . rather annoying! I think that it could be something to do with my rims (Streetwear). Who knows? I can tell you that i just got new tires and alignment though. One thing I might want to add is that if anyone is looking for the best radar detector out there with absolutely no bias, I must recommend the Valentine One(trademark symbol thingy). I can tell you from personal experience! I was runnin around 110-120 goin to Atlanta from Knoxvegas and it started goin off I had plenty of time to romp on the brakes in time to see the cop hidden in the median. It's saved my *** so many times, cost a pretty penny but definitely paid for itself in tickets that i would have otherwise had to pay for! I'll have a recent picture up soon of my baby, just in case yall want see her, but for I'm out . . .

Your best bet is to search old threads.
The dash rattles are common, and easily fixed with some foam insulator or another absorbant material.
The wheel vibrations could be from a number of things. You ruled out alignment, but how bout wheel balancing? It could be something in the steering mechanism itself. Search away.
