All I know is that when I swapped my Y pipe, one of the bolts going to the cat snapped, had to drill it out.... Sure was not fun, turned a 45min job into 2 hours of omg wtf do we f/in do.

It means bad times
.You can get PB blaster from any auto store.
EDIT:
If a bolt is lodge into the block, then u will either need to drill it out and retap hole. Or u can try a bolt removal kit, which still requires a drill.
A stripped bolt ALWAYS sucks
Any autopart store.
If it does snap, then you will have to use a bolt extractor and replace the bolt

Biggest thing to remember is take your time!! Get underneath the car and turn the bolts a little at a time, dont just get under there and crank the hell out of them, thats how they get snapped off. Originally Posted by Stuntnugget

I have had my y pipe on and off numerous times while performing the motor swap and have had no problems with the bolts.
Save your money and dont get the headers...waste of time, a pain in the *** and your really not gonna gain alot.....install the Y-pipe and call it a day!
