Voltages and signal come from ECU and battery.

For sure. Check the wiring. How are you determining that the TPSs are bad?

Yeah makes no sense that a new TPS goes bad in one week. Did you just screw out the old one and screw the new one in and plug it up? If so, you installed it incorrectly and that's why you have the code for it stored.

Are the sensor and switch connectors snugly fit onto the TPS? Check those brown and grey connectors and their wiring.

When you get the car back there, just play stupid and don't tell him that someone on the org told you that the ecu could be causing it or you will be paying for a new ecu.

Well if you change the TPS again and it lasts only a week, try back the stock ECU and see what happens..

Word.

If that doesn't help you are going to have to check the continuity of the wires going between the TPS and the ECU. Excessive current draw is about the only thing I can think of that would kill a potentiometer (what the TPS is). If it comes down to checking wires, make sure the red and white are not shorted to ground.

Another thing to look at is the actual voltage on the pins of the TPS once you get another working one. Make sure they are in spec. The red wire should have 5 volts, the black should be ground, and the white is the signal. The FSM recommends that you monitor the voltage as you depress the pedal and make sure that the response on the sensor is linear. The voltage should increase as you press the pedal down. It's on pages EC-128 to EC-133

Either way, if its the TPS then something def is fryin it. Go back to stock and see if that helps.
