- Remove four screws (two top, two bottom) to release CC & radio assembly.
- Pull assembly away from dash.
- Unplug all wiring harnesses / antenna wires.
- Flip assembly over and remove four screws holding the trim panel to the metal bracket.
- Remove screws on each side of radio (mine only had two, but it had been removed before, so there may be more) holding radio to bracket.
- Pull radio out through front of bracket.

Pry with a plastic tool directly under each button and lift up. This will allow enough room to access the two screws. Break them loose with an 8mm 1/4 drive socket on looong extension and remove.

Now remove lower 8mm screws same way as top. Pull out unit and disconnect all wires.

Turn unit over and remove 4 screws from plastic bezel and remove bezel.

Remove 4 tapered Philips screws attaching brackets to stereo. Slide stereo out through the front.

Finished

Dang that seems kinda nice to be able to just take out those screws and slide the head unit out. For the Bose unit the screws are on the sides of those two big metal brackets that also hold the hvac controls and cubby; you gotta take the whole panel out to get at just the stereo, which can be a huge PITA if you're trying to troubleshoot something.

I've been looking for something just like this, Thanks man!
I've seen a few guides around on the internet but you had to pay for them... No thanks.

You do have to remove the whole unit and unscrew the 4 tapered philips from the side of the stereo. I just Photographed #7 as an after thought to illustrate where the bezel attaches to the brackets.

I don't recall having to do this to get the stereo out. Once you remove the screws at the side that's holding the head unit, it will slide right out without removing bezel.
