Evap Control System - Code

Hey guys now before you go blowing up this thread saying "read the stickies" let me just say I did and from what I read it's something akin to a "jackpot" code. My question is has anyone any personal experience with their max showing code #0705 "Evap Control System"? Like has anyone got this code and had success fixing it and what you did. Any tips are appreciated thanks!

Yeah mine is a 98, you'd think Nissan would have a particular code for each component in the event one went out, not just a crazy single code that covers one or more of over 20 different possible solutions. Makes you think they'd want you in the dealer replacing countless parts before finding the solution. *stare*

My car was throwing both the P1445 and P1447 codes, but not together. I would get the one code, reset my ecu and then get the other, but not alternating, either.

My problem turned out to be the charcoal filled EVAP canister located behind the driver's rear wheel. It was leaking its charcoal and the stuff was being sucked into the engine.

What I had discovered was that when I took the EVAP canister purge control valve and/or the EVAP canister purge volume control valve off the car, little black granules came out of them. I then found a service bulletin about this (NTB00-085a) and when I tested the EVAP canister, it was bad.

I have those code since a year now.

I tried almost everything on what I found with the ''search''.
( clean the canister valve and the volume control valve, I tested all the component with a 12v battery, everything seems alright. I shoot air in the system)

And still have those code :

p0440 : exhaust gas recirculation malfunction
p0441 : evaporative emission system flow during non-purge
p0443 : evap purge solenoide valve 1 control ckt
p0447 : ??

I guess those codes keep nissan alive!
