A really good friend of mine owns a 2004 Maxima and his Transmission is shot I believe. His tranny was slipping and now it won't go in gear at all. I helped him put it in a parking space using the shift lock to put it in neutral and roll it into a spot. Is this an expensive fix? I feel bad for the guy because money is very tight with him so I'm trying to help him out in the best way possible.
Does anybody know or can sell and install a used Maxima tranny in the New Jersey area?
I'm gonna post in the 6th gen area as well but I use to come to the 4th gen section a lot more a long time ago and knew more people doing auto to manual tranny swaps with the 4th gens then on 6th gens.
