Modding a auto is not to bad...2 of the fastest maximas on this site are auto.

I use to think the same way about modding a auto since I'm coming from a 6spd 5.5gen. Its kinda fun. It also depends on how fast u tryna go. If u want to chill and just have a lil bit if extra power just throw some bolt-ons and a mevi or vi and call it a day. The option of a 3.5 swap is there 2. Ajcools gf's car hauls *** and she has a auto 3.5 swapped 4t gen with simple bolt ons.

 

Again, I have driven cars with even worse Auto tranny

 

Auto is not bad with some bolt ons you'll be good. I got auto after all the boltons iv done. The only I would change back is my intake I would just leave the stock box and scup and put a high flow filter

 

Oh and.do the dr mod

 

now ive read about the dr mod and understand how it works but say you have it hooked up so when you go wot it activates and you're crusing in third and then mash the gas to where it disconnects and the tranny downshifts to second at full line pressure, how bad is that for the tranny?
