Aftermarket b-pipe

I have a Budget stainless steel y-pipe that I bought in June 2004. I am not sure if Budget makes them for 4th Gens anymore. I e-mailed them a few months ago about a b-pipe and they never got back to me.

Does anyone know of another manufacturer that makes either an aluminized or stainless steel b-pipe for the 4th Gen. I believe they come with a resonator but am not sure about that. I don't like noise and want to keep the sound stock, ie. no bees in a can or whatever.

I want to take out the restrictive bend in the stock b-pipe and achieve some hp and torque gains.

Thanks

Definitely go Cattman. Don't waste your money on a Pacesetter.

Not to mention the Pace****ter wont bolt to a stock muffler.

I have a WSP Y, stock cat, Stillen B, 5th gen muffler. Beez.... esecially when the valve in the muffler opens up. The B pipe is non resonated so that doesnt help.

There really arent a whole lot of quality mandrel bent B pipes available. Then try to get one thats resonated and bolts up to the stock muffler. If Budget still makes them the resonator is smallish. IIRC Cattmans is huge.

Plus, Pacesetter's are know to rot out on people.

Cattman's SS b-pipe is perfect. Nice big resonator which should keep things clean sounding with no rasp, mandrel bent of course and it'll bolt up to the stock muffler.

Are you in Canada Bobo? If so, Budget would be the best option.

Quoted from a member on torontomaxima.com

All Y Pipes - $250
All B Pipes with Resonator - $260

Install for the Y Pipe is an extra 1 hr of shop labor rate ($78), but if getting the B Pipe, they said they would install that for no extra time.

Pipes are 2.5" Mandrel Bent, T304 Stainless Steel.

Brian Cattman also posted that it would cost about $52 for shipping to Canada for exhaust parts.

Was the post you are referring to current?

I think I'll try and call Budget. I live in a suburb of Vancouver, BC, on the West Coast. My y-pipe cost $15 (IIRC) to ship, all across Canada back in the day. I piad $250 for my y-pipe going on 7 years ago. It's hard to believe they haven't raised the price. In fact, I thought I heard last year that Budget wasn't producing them any more because of lack of demand.
