this is going to be vague. a metal gliding sound from the right passenger side only with making a left turn. no sound when accelerating, stopping or when making a right turn. no clicking sound. i was thinking of the rotor touching the rotor shield if you will but then why is it making that sound when making a left turn.

 

probably just the metal dust shield. when brakes are cool push it back evenly all around in toward the car away from the rotor then take a drive and see if its gone.

 

The metal dust shield turns with the hub and should be parallel to the rotor on all radii. I cannot think of why it would only make noise turning one way if bent.

My best guess, based on the information given, is a pad sitting unevenly in the caliper bracket.
It might [also] be time to change your brakes, if the sound is coming from the telltale. (They do not always squeal.)

When was the last time that you serviced your brakes?
Did you install all shims and keepers correctly?
What type of brake pads did you use?

It would be too easy to check IMO. If you do, take a look at both sides (pad to rotor) of both sides [of the car] and let us know what you find. Pay particular attention to thickness of the brake pad material on each end of the pad. If you do not know how to service them properly please ask... it does make a difference.

Def sounds like the rotor is hitting the dust shield, but WHY?

Check the wheel bearing on that side for play.
