isolate the squeaking

97 gle squeaks from the front a majority of the time while hitting bumps/uneven road. it can come from either side, or both at the same time.

i read that it's PROBABLY either the sway bar links or bushings. if it could be other things please let me know.

knowing that it could be multiple things, how do i isolate the problem and find out where exactly it's coming from? *please be specific and use the full name of parts or areas when referring to them*

Buy a can of spray silicone lube and spray one bushing at a time.
1 sway bushings
2 control arm bushings
3 sway end links
4 ball joints ( have to puncture rubber boots, at own risk)
5 strut mounts (at top)

I think the poster recomending the lube spray was meant to issolate which part was squeaking. Otherwise your just throwing a bunch of parts at the car.

Your choice I guess

If it sounds like a creaky door hinge its probably the inner sway bar bushing. I replaced mine today (2 Moog for 10$ at O'Reillys). If you want to be sure those are the source, place a pry bar between the sway bar and control arm, then pry back and forth. It should be noticeable.
