hood cable frayed, almost does'nt open
hood cable frayed, almost does'nt open
so, i noticed it was a little rusted in 1 spot, did'nt realize it was going to unspin and fray apart so quickly 2 months later. guess i shoulda taped it, duh. whats the best place to buy a replacement and how long to replace?? anybody have a right up on it??? thanks!!!
I'm thinking that the cable is a Nissan-only part, but I could be wrong. The Nissan part # is 65620-40U05 and lists for $38.47. On-line at www.nissanpartszone.com, it costs $29.03 plus s&h.

Sorry I wasnt more discriptive.
Its been a while but I think it was one 10mm bolt inside the cabin and with the inner fender liner off, feed the new one in backwards, as your taking the old one out. Make sure your hood it open during the process and make sure its functioning before you close the hood when the job is done
