Those look nice!

One thing I always thought was funny about our cars...during the day, the speedometer only shows lines at increments of 10. At night, though, you get a notch every 2 MPH. Apparently Nissan figures you need to have a more accurate idea of your speed at night.

just wondering why you need to see the lights during the day? the suns out, and your gauges are already lit up

You only get notches at 10 MPH during the day...with the lights on at night, you get notches every 2 MPH. They aren't visible when the lights are off.

just painted my bezel today. not trying to copy the OG person, but i think it looks sick. i may paint it a shade of blue so when i get the blue bulbs, it will match the rest of my interior.

ok so how do you replace the black/clear needles with the red ones.. i know you just have to half twist it or something like that to get it off but i dont want my gauges to be off..
i have a extra 2 red needles and i was maybe thinking about doing the tach and speedo in the red needles if they are going to show up better. can someone with the red needles post a night picture so that i can get a better idea of what they look like so i can decide if i want to swap out the needles. thanks

there is a how to in the 4th gen section of how to's.

twist it counter clockwise 3 times while pulling up. if you break off the shaft that holds on the needle, you are screwed.

that link is bad... it took me to a dead link.

does anyone know what the looks difference is between the clear/black needles and the red needles or do i need to go ahead and take the red needles and some light sandpaper and get the color off of them?
can someone post some pics of the different needles with led gauges so i can see which one i want to do .

I got my NEO-5 HP-Blue's in a few weeks ago. 3 for each gauge, 1 for the odometer, and 2 for the turn signals. Got a new set of fenders and my car got repainted so I'll update soon(:

how do you plan on using 3 of these for each gauge? There is only room for 1

Sorry, that was a typo. I meant I have 4 for the gauges total. One for each gauge. One for each directional light (2) and one for the odometer. So 7 total

when i get those, im going to order the individual leds to do the climate control and switches as well

and for anyone that has a non 98/99 cluster the neo-5s are just for your turn signals and dummy lights.. if you want to light up your gauges then the bulb you need is the t1-1/2 and they are only like 20 cents more then the neo5s i made this mistake and bought some neo5s just to be able to light up my CEL and brake and turn signals. reordering the t1-1/2s for my gauges..

and if anyone has a gauge plastic surround they can let go of for cheap lemme know i broke one side of mine while i was taking it out to put the neo 5s in . i mean not the gauge cluster surround.. just that piece that holds your cruise button, that comes off right before you can get the cluster out.

Just put mine in, wasn't too complicated at all. The plastic backing on the LEDs is pretty soft though so you have to be careful. I'll take some pics when it gets darker

Too bad the guys that installed my stereo messed up something and my gauges are all screwed up now. Taking it to someone hopefully this week to get it fixed. Anyone know how I can get the needles to appear orange again? Now they're hard to see.

Picked up 3pairs of 6000k smd led's from Ebay. The leds from SB where rated at 8,000k temp (Cool White) and I didnt want the blueish color because I have my whole interior on super bright white leds (6000k). I just installed the set from ebay and got the same hot spots like everyone else. What I also got, was the blueish color as the 8000k leds from SB. I'm going to wait till it gets dark and see if it satisfies my taste. I'm not a fan of the blueish color. I really like the light output of the 6000k leds that I have in my interior, but somehow in the gauge cluster still comes out with the blueish output with the 6000k bulbs in there. I think I might go with the warm white bulbs, but I'm looking to find them in a 5smd bulb type. I found the 5smd bulbs in the 6000k white color which I'm also tempted to put in there to see if it kills the hotspots http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2x-T5...item19c72ee0c8 What do you guys think?

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere on this site that there was a blueish lining behind the actual gauge faces so your lights will come out slightly blue. I might be wrong though.

Are you basing this on my picture or your personal exp?

You can add LED's to them, I've seen it done before... Look up the user Ilyak or look in my LED Interior thread, should be some pics somewhere in there.

I just assumed the car was off because it looked like the tachometer was on 0 RPM's and the gas gauge was saying it was empty because of that.

And to the other guy, I thought some guy here did it on either a 3rd or 5th gen.
