well i finally got home last night and found out my leds had come in, i got the wled5s from superbrightleds.com heres the link..
http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...%2FWLED-x5.htm

i only see a few little hot spots but its not noticable sitting in the car, i only ordered 4 bc i didnt look at the back of my cluster before i ordered them.
i sent some back to them that werent the right type and once those go through ill get my last bulb for my fuel gauge.

what do yall think?

plus i didnt have to do anything to the needles for them to be seen VERY well.

I havent done it but... I heard that If you get sand paper and sand the back of the needles the orange paint comes off leaving the needles clear. This makes them visible like the 95-97 Gauge needles...

If you looked at the picture I posted, you'll see that the turn signals are blue. NEO-5 HP's fit.

neo-5s will fit in all your "dummy lights" your turn signals, pretty much any light in the cluster other then the main cluster bulbs.

or you can go to superbrightleds.com and get the color you want and prolly pay close to the same price as the leds from failzone.

the bulbs that i used for my cluster(97) was the wledx5 in blue i dont think i even needed the hp leds in mine.. it looks great IMO

97 mechanical gauge cluster

Questions:

Will WLED-x5 work plug 'n play in a '97 gauge cluster?

How many bulbs do I need for the entire gauge cluster?

Are all bulbs in the '97 gauge cluster the same part number?

Is the "LOW FUEL" bulb the same WLED-x5?

Will the dimming feature work with LED's?

Thanks

It sucks a 98 digital cluster can't take the 194 LED as I think they offer it in a brighter white (3500K). I have the cool white in my 98 digital gauges and it's not superbright and has a blueish hue to it. I wanted a solid bright pure white.

They need to make the these in warm white!

They also need to get a 360* illumination LED type, that's the best thing about the 194 type bulbs, the 360* pattern=ZERO hotspots. The ones in the 98/99 don't have the 360* capability.

Wow that does look amazing. How exactly did you get your blinker light blue with the green filter over the lamps?
