For now I'm leaving the wing on but prolly not for long. The reason is, with the wing, it gives it a sportier look. Some cars just look better in person and I think with mine this is the case, or maybe it looks bad from the *** end. After I get the drop and my rims fixed, I will remove the wing. If it looks as good as

---

You'd never hear me complain again....ever. So Don't think I'm not taking the advice, I just don't want to apply a step that shouldn't be done (IMO) until I'm lowered, otherwise it just looks like a car that should have 22 spinners.

And has ANYONE heard or R1 racing, at all? There website is so sketched out. Bad links, disconnected numbers, ect...

Retro should be on your list for sure. Its a fun project you could do yourself. Beware though, youll spend at least 300 on parts.

Check the link in my sig for my retrofit write up, the -Retrofit Status- link.

They are like that when you buy a non fog light equipped max. in 97+, there is a plastic bar in there instead of being fully covered.

I've heard of R1 racing, they were a popular tuning company around the FnF time. Not really known for high end stuff, but they were popular back in the day. I had a paid of R1 racing seats in my maxi for a while... they sucked, but seats are different from wheels. As long as the wheels look good and are relatively strong (i.e. don't bend again) I'd stick with them.

Yea the 95 bumper looks like that without fogs. Ive since cut out the driver side one to allow my cold air intake a direct feed of air

Many people hate on the altezza lights. They look cool at night but not so much in the day. I kinda like yours though.

IMO Altezza's don't look good on a Maxima 99% of the time. Yours look better than some I've seen, but I wouldn't put them on my car. As for the spoiler..... I would say get a stock one or do no spoiler. That thing looks like it should be on your friends accord or something.

It's your car though and you should do it how you like it.

Edit- I'm surprised at the Maaco paint job. Looks a lot better than what I've heard.

-New Paint Job
-19 R1 Racing rims (One bad one, as shown in video. Getting fixed next week)
-Stillen Front lip, R34 Side skirts (I didn't buy them because I think I have a skyline. I know I have one), and Some aftermarket back valances, found them on a real weird site and bought em.- Ionic Valences, muh bad. Not a weird site. I love you Ionic.
-Ugly spoiler that should be removed soon (Wanna see how it looks after I lower it)
-Gunmetal altezza's painted black to match the body.
-Short ram intake (Cheap ebay one, but it sounds awesome)
-Resonator Delete.

So far I am really happy with it and even people who know nothing about cars appreciate so thats kind of cool. If I didn't have the F'in wing, maybe It'd gain some credibility for being a classy looking car.

Here is the video, oh and sorry if this is in the wrong section. Ignore the kids in the background, they were purposely trying to annoy me lol.

Not quite sure how to embed....

I got a shop down here in Houston, Tx that specialize in wheel repair and that ain't nothing....these guys have repaired wheels that have been completely destroyed!!!!!! SABS (damagedwheels.com), tele# 7137726813...
http://strictlygs.com/showthread.php...mp-Refinishing
I've used these guys service at least 2 times due to a minor bent rim in which I dropped into a 6"-10" deep pothole and was very pleased with their finished product and more impressed with rims that were smashed to half the original diameter and finished equally or better than when new! check these out guys!

I understand where you guys are coming from. A girl in my school was apparently into cars and had a maxima too, pulled up next to me with the bright crystal colored altezza's.
I am glad they made the gunmetal, and I love the classic light look but I may get some LED's. Its not that I don't like the the classic lights, I just want people to look at it and say "What kind of car is that?" and never know. I mean that in a good way of course.

Since there is not much to update, here is it fresh out of the shop, with the older painted rims and still the...spoiler.

I personally think your ride is very decent minus the spoiler and tail lights. Why don't you get LED tail light boards from Kzooshoo? I think those are the hottest LED tails available for the 4th gen..

It's a real racing spoiler. Took it off an f1 car in my local junk yard. Came with stickers but those were adding too much power so I took em off.

Naw lots of people have done it. Will require some body work and its not shaped the same as the OEM so it wont fit flush to the trunk but other than that its a sweet mod.

Not 100% sure the correct way to do it as I haven't done it but as I understand it the Galant spoiler only has the 2 outside mounting points so the 2 inside stock mounting points wouldn't be used and yea must be covered up and re-painted. The Galant spoiler is also meant for a flat trunk and thus it doesn't sit flush to the trunk lid. Google it and you'll find some .org members who have done it.^^^It does look better IMO

Oh damn! Thats not bad at all! As long as its tight and doesn't fall off, That won't be a problem. I posted bout a month ago looking for anything that was in between a wings west spoiler and a R32 Skyline spoiler and here it is. I kid you not when I say this is prolly the most perfect one I have found (My taste at least.).

My friend has an evo so I know I'll probs get **** for it since he just got it, and here I am showing up with a similar spoiler but whatever.

To anyone reading this, if you have this spoiler (Preferably in black) I will buy it!

Naw its not bad at all, couple cm of gap, and the install is simple. The outside mounts as I understand it don't use bolts. Those are only on the inside mounting points on the 4th gen. So its probably only held down by 3m adhesive tape and maybe some plastic nuts which will inevitably wear and it will get loose. Just go to the pull-a-part? They have so many Galants, at least a decent one will.

Wait so does it have any bolts on it at all? If it had the screw ends coming out of it couldn't I just drill through the trunk and lock nuts on it? or is that what you meant + tape.

@ RomeoRx7- Thanks man glad you like it!

To fill in the galant spoilers edges youd need some bondo and paint.

If you like it keep it.....It's your ride! You mention that the spoiler was off a f1 car....Do you mean Formula 1? Looks too narrow to be Formula 1... Are you gonna lower the stance any?

really not sure about the Galant spoiler and how its attached. I supose if those are the only 2 mounting points then the bolts would be there

When I buy it I'm just gonna bring it to Maaco, have my Dec lid redone, and have them install it instead of spray painting it. I wanna make this car the right way. Not saying spray paint is bad, some people can make that **** S H I N E, but not me.

As for the rims....I mean I like them, but after I get them fixed my chrome will be completely shot. I think I'm gonna spray them candy red with a black lip. I just want a nice deep color that gives me a different look than any other car on the road. Any color will go if you can do it right!

The windshield banner is extremely tacky, the rims look cheap and dated, it needs to be lowered, and those tail lights make it look like a ricey wannabe Skyline.

I don't mean to be coming across harsh, I'm just saying what I see. To me it looks like you had a really clean 4th gen to start with and got way too excited and got going doing too many things at once in a cheap way which made it look bad. I was the same way when I first got my car. There was a time when I had a 12 inch Nismo sticker on my back window and plastered a bunch on the rear windows too. I learned better and they've been long gone.

My advice; undo what you've done, go back and start from scratch and do things slowly, step-by-step, and most importantly do them right. Lose the tails and get some red/clears and lower it on coilovers on the stock wheels. It will look way better than it does now and much less like a typical teenage ricemobile with those two simple changes in my opinion.
