Please help. Seafoam problem

So I did a oil change about a week ago. When finished I put an entire can of seafoam engin cleaner into the crank case of my 99 max. Not knowing I should have only used half a can. Then I drove approx 15 min and everything was perfect then I went back to my friends house. Otw back my car started to misfire and lightly back fire. I parked and next morning drained and replaced with new oil. Still had same problem and then check engin light came on with a cylinder 5 miss fire code so I changed all plugs and did another oil change just in case any seafom was left. Now I am get multiple cylinder misfire codes. The back fire is not as bad and after I get to around 40-50mph its pretty smooth but it still missfireing at start up and up to about 40mph and is not ideling correctlly with some back fire. Any ideas?

Did you remove any vac hoses from the motor? if so, did they get put back properly, and did they work themselves loose?

Misfire could be caused by ignition coils...

you did oil change, then ENTIRE can of Seafoam (not reading directions...?), then another oil change...then changed all plugs and yet another oil change?

Did not remove any hoses. One mech said to give it another oil change. I have to admit the second oil when I orignaly removed the seafoam.it looked. Like I put 3000 miles on the oil when it was only about 10 so I guess it did clean the hell outa my engin but dosnt solve my missfires

Generally when you seafoam you use 1/3 in the crank, 1/3 in the fuel tank, and suck the remaining 3rd through the brake booster. After sucking it through the booster you shut the car off and let it sit for about 10min. When you start the car back up it will smoke heavily for 5-10min, take the car for a spirited drive for about 20-50miles. Change the dirty oil with fresh oil and filter.

The seafoam wasn't what caused the vehicle to misfire.

Pull the codes and post them on here so we can help you find the cause of the misfires.
