hey guys i have a 98 maxima and my story is that i was driving it one night coming back from work and after i came around the corner everything just shuts off and i was still in gear i try starting the car while i was still rolling by popping the clutch but it didn't work too. Now when i try starting the car it'll crank but it won't turn over so the car would start.

HELP!!!!

 

Turn the headlights on when you try to crank it. Do they get really dim?

No the head lights doesn't get really dim.

 

The only codes are the O2 sensor.

 

could be loose terminals if it shut off while you were driving. If they are loose it will drain the battery too

 

Check this first. The terminals will get rusty/corroded and in some cases get so brittle they won't make a connection to the battery. If so you can try cleaning them. If they still don't get good connection after cleaning and look very corroded you can pick up a set of new terminals for less than $10.00. This happened to both my A32's. A simple terminal replacement for both and it's never done it since.

 

I replace both terminal and it still doesn't start.

 

hey guys i was messing around with my car and i got the car to start for a good 5 second until it dies again. And now i got the code for the ignition system circuit. So now im totally stuck and don't know what to do. PLEASE i need some major HELP!
