Ha! And because this electrical part is brand new therefore it must be perfect?

Welcome to the real world, my friend

I checked the sensor again and sure enough it didnt go down. Took it back to advance and got another one. I tested this one and it did as expected. I got excited, cranked it, and it just kept cranking like before - nothing new happened.
I took out a plug and checked it for spark again, and the plug lit up, gas sprayed up as expected. I dont know of anything else to check other then to replace the ECM.

Perhaps you can get a good used ECM?

This thread is killing me, I really want you to figure this out. I am rooting for you and the Maxima.

I would start exchanging other sensors.

Hey buddy, Just like caseymaxima, I am hoping really really hard that you can solve the problem and tell us all how you did it.

This is going to be really random but do you have a aftermarket alarm with a remote start by any chance?

This was a couple years ago but when was fixing something under the dash, I saw a black box which was the brain for my alarm. And at the time I did not know my car came with a alarm or even how one looked like so unplugged everything and then my car wouldnt start anymore until I plugged everything back.

This is a good point. Even the factory alarm is tied into the starting circuit. I would check the relay/fuses for the alarm and etc

Alarm
I thought about the alarm system as well. The remote still works and appears to turn everything off, I thought about shorting out the fuse (or whatever you call it by running a wire between between the two points) to make sure it is disarmed. I guess its worth a shot as I had to do this before.

Sensors
Im wondering what other sensors are you referring to. Everything has tested within the natural limits. If I was getting bad readings I would, but not sure I understand the value in exchanging out parts that are testing properly. I realize that coil packs can operate differently under load, but I can't even get the Max started

Engine
Thanks for the idea on the oil, but if the compression test came back as good wouldn't that indicate that the engine is solid? I don't know the answer - so just really asking the question here. I can check the oil - not a big deal - but just wondering what I am looking for.

Appreciate all the cheering and yes I hope to find the issue as well. I thought I had a good line on a used ECM, but proved to be a bust. Going to try and find one this week since I am back home. The poor Max just keeps looking at me - cant tell if she is saying Fix Me or Leave Me Alone - seems like the latter since she doesn't want to start and not sending any signals. Just like a woman (LOL)
