Governor

Someone had mentioned something a short time ago about cutting some wire in the ecu to rid oneself of the governor, but in doing so, your check engine, check tranny or both lights will stay on......my ? is that what happens if you encounter a real engine or tranny problem with the lights always being on, how will you know if you have a problem or not?

You put in a switch so you can turn the governor off only when you needed, or not needed...

When I cut my sensor wire, I tested it for an increasing amout of time switched off and have driven for as long as 30 min without the light coming on.( it didnt come on, I just got where I needed to go) I dont think you have to be concerned with the ECU coming on for the sensor if its turned off when needed and switched back on when driving slower than 117 mph
