Belt Quality (6PK1105)

any quality difference between Mitsuboshi or the Bando, main serpentine ac/alt belt for the 97 max? (visibly, bando is thicker) . Also, any comments on the Oshide ps belt welcome too... thanks

Just get whatever is cheapest.

Worst case scenario it only lasts 3 years. And it takes 5 mins to change that belt

^ pretty much. Mitsubishi is probably the factory belt for the car if originality means anything to you. Lol.

I work in auto parts and no matter who you talk to they swear by a particular brand...we sell Dayco and Bando and they are both great belts and we have some customers that swear by dayco and others by bando...Bando is actually an OE supplier for many manufacturers including,Toyota, GM an most Nissans.

Thanks for all replys.

I have one of each, the Bando is brand new and i stripped the Mit off a wrecked 03 along with the tensioner/pulley assembly, both look great, solid pulley bearing and easy screw mechanism, no ripples in the belt. just have to get around to it now as all my splashguards are still in tact so it may take a bit. Likely use the new Bando, sounds like a good reference.
