someone help me with the MAF

well me and my dad made a home-made intake adapter yesterday and when we went to screw the MAF into the adapter i took off the little part on the side of it where the harness plugs into it. well when we put it on the car and plugged everything back in the engine was hesitating and i couldn't hit the gas or it would stall. so i took the intake apart and put everything stock back together and in the car. it did the same thing so i read the ECU and it gave me the 4-1 and the 1-2 codes which are the Air Intake Temp sensor and the Mass Air Flow Sensors. when i took the little part of the MAF off and put it back on did i mess it up? my nissan dealer wants $488 for it. if theres somewhere cheaper PLEASE post it. thanks

there are 3 metal pieces that have problems when taken apart, a common fix involves extra solder on the connections

yeh i saw those pieces, so just put some solder on the end of them, put the cover on, and screw it back together?

as i understand it the connections when replaced dont work real good, solder can get you a better connection bc it has a greater area to connect, dont get the solder from one to touch another, if i were u i would give these guys awhile to respond and give you a confirmation of this

ok thanks! but this thing is fuct up either way, so i think i will go ahead and try to solder it and hopefully that will do it because i have to work later. i just don't really want to spend $500 on a new one.
