horn solutions anyone??
Horn got stuck last week .... on. lol. So i pulled the relay.
This will only make sense if you've ever taken your airbag off.
As it turns out, when I took off the airbag to inspect, it appears that there are 4 plastic pieces which stick up off the springs under the airbag. Basically, when you push down on the "horn" these push down springs to supply the ground and activate the horn.
All of the plastic pieces on mine are heat exhausted. They crumble in my hand under pressure. And got stuck in the springs causing the horn to stay on.
My wife gave me a pretty solid suggestion - superglue some washers together. (She has been around me for a long time...lol).
But I'm wondering if anyone else has any suggestions. From what the dealer tells me, they don't sell those plastic parts. Have to buy the entire steering wheel. All the wheels at the junkyard suck.
TIA.
