98 SE wheels and tires

What are the alternate sizes of tires that fit on a stock 98 SE rim? Stock is 215-55-16 correct? Any other size and width that is recommended to be better than stock?

Thanks

Jim, when I purchased new tires, I went a little wider, and a little shorter. 225-50-16. The wider footprint is nicer for added traction, and does not mess up handling or anything. No noise from the tire rubbing is evident and you have a much wider choice when you pick this tire size. Hope this helps you out...

It depends, if you drive really hard, like 9-10/10ths, don't go to the 225 on the 6.5" rim. They are too wide and will roll over on you in these conditions. This won't be an issue on the street, but on the track it will hurt you. If you're not going to go on the track, 225 look much better and you have more choices.

I run 225/55-16" on SE wheels without any problems.
