97 Maxima, nothing when I turn the key

The battery is strong, terminals clean, just replaced the 140A battery fuse link. Not sure what to try next. Thanks!

Try wiggling the key.
Could be a bad ignition switch.
Any codes to check?
Could also be neutral safety switch.
Any recent work done besides the battery and fuse clean up?

Thanks FJF

No recent work done. The car has been very sound electrically. Just to add, when I put on the key I don't get any dash lights at all. Thanks again!

If you aren't getting any dash lights, then you have a "dead" ignition switch or you blew the 30 amp fusible link H under the hood between the battery and the fender. The label on the cover is FL30A IGN SW.

Try starting it in neutral.? Auto or Man. Trans.? If you find that isn't the solution, I verify iggy switch is good, starter relay is good, if auto neutral switch is good and then check the starter.

When I was having that issue, I would turn the key with a little force and it would start.

Check ignition fuse. That happened to me once. It was blown.

You were right on my friend! That happy green FL30A did the job. Thanks so much for the knowledge. My next challenge is finding a 16577C part to connect to the air box. Air intake boot?
