2000 rear struts in 1999 maxima?

Opinions on installing a set of rear struts for a 2000 maxima in a 1999? Bolts do not line up but everything else is same. Would be a matter of drilling two matching holes about 1/2" outside stock holes. What do you guys think? See pic

If everything is the same as you say it is..why drill holes that would weaken the metal in the mounting location? Why not just swap out the strut mounts? No drilling required..

I don't think the two holes will make a difference. Go for it if you want to, but good luck getting it perfectly centered.

Why don't you swap the mounts? Are the springs the same?

I know the rear struts are not the same...two different part numbers...not sure about the springs
