and the key fob stops working, AGAIN!!!!!

wtf!!!!! i was sitting in my max last night and hit the key fob to lock the doors and it worked. got out of the car and went to lock it and, no bueno. wtf is causing this to happen? replaced battery before, 3 fuses and somehow it just started working again. when i put the key in and out 6 times i get no hazards flashing, but when i turn it to acc and hit the lock it does? what is causing this gd thing to not work? i've tried everything, i'm going to try other keys to see if that helps anything, otherwise i'm stumped. HALP!!

Sounds like the remote is going bad. I had that problem and ended up buying a new one (a few) off ebay.

I wonder if the switch built into the ignition cylinder is sticking and indicating that the key is in the ignition switch. The car is designed that if the key is in the ignition switch, the doors won't lock.

FOB Sob Stories! LOL

Mine has started to lock the car by itself!

The other went bad and doesn't work at all!

I say we all get remote starters and BURN the old fobs together.

Does the dealer still carry new ones?

nope, i wouldn't buy one from them anyway. i thought about the cylinder possibly causing the issue, there's gotta be a reason the f______ hazards flash when i turn the key to the acc position. it was working after i went through this problem last year, i just hit the key fob out of habit and it started working again. goddamn pain in my arsenal. would you guys trust this fob off of ebay? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Nissan-A269...8AAOSw5VtZ85~7
