Cornering lamps and taillight issue
OK for some reason my cornering lamps and taillights will not come on. The brake lights work and the cornering lamps work when signalling with headlights on. Headlights and fog lights work fine. Checked the fuses but could not find one that was blown. Coming up to 25 years ( bought my '95 in '94)owning my Maxima and appreciate the help on the forum.

When you checked the fuses did you do a visual inspection only, or did you test the fuse for continuity / swap it with another working fuse?
Looking in the FSM there are not many common denominators between the front parking lights and rear taillights. Power runs on a single path from the switch to the fuse box, but then branches onto separate wires going to the front left, front right, and rear lights.
If the fuse tests good, look for power coming into the fuse block from the switch. If the fuse is not getting power you will need to trace it back to the switch to find the fault.

Which lights are you referring to as cornering lamps? There is the bulb behind the hadlight housing and then there is the turn signal light and the lamp right behind that.
Sounds like a fuse/relay or the switch itself, sounds more like a switch issue to me though

I found it was a fuse. I had wired a switch for 2 extra driving lights and somehow the wire insulation rubbed and caused a a short. At night hard to see those ATC fuses even with a flashlight. I replaced the fuse with a 10A as I could not find any 7.5A around. I wrapped all the wires for the problem switch and that should do it. Thanks for the wiring diagram and the suggestions.
