Steering problem

My car goes straight when the wheel is held straight, so I think it's NOT an alignment issue. The issue is that the steering wheel sometimes wants to turn right thus making the car drift right. If I center the steering wheel, the car will track straight. Is this a symptom of a bad or worn out rack or something?

Take a look at your strut Mounts..

Open the Hood, and turn the Wheel full lock and take a look. They should be both centered in the Mount, Not in a bind or off center. They should match in appearance both sides. Most overlooked item on the 4th gen for steering problems.

Shake it Down, Could be A worn out part aswell.

Ill say this, I have aligned thousands of cars, Unfortunately to get a 4th gen to ever 100% track straight, requires more in-depth work in the rear, because of the Beam and Geometry designed into the suspension. Moral of the Story, Keep both hands on the wheel.

Take the load off the front end and check out our components inner outer tie rod ends, ball joint, steering rack bushings, etc. The strut mounts are also suspect and a good starting point I would also include the LCA's or more specifically the LCA bushings.
