Does anyone have a clue to whats happening? its a MOOG part, I bought it as soon as i bought the car ( got it at 278,822 KM ) its now at 279,007KM and this damn thing is already blown up ( passenger side ) as far as i know it still had original sway bar end links from 1996 before i replaced them
Are you sure that’s a Moog part? I have had other aftermarket ones fail pretty quick but the Moog have been holding up a couple years and counting. See item below from rock auto. The bushings grabbing the sway bar look a little different than yours. It appears there are a lot of threads showing. Maybe the one you have is different or one of the bushings is missing causing more stress that pulled the ball out of the socket? Or maybe you torqued the hell out of it on installation.
Do you think it was a fake moog part? i bought it from ebay, and it did came in a Moog box, but ti does look quite different from the one you got. i took this picture when i got it comparing it to the older one i was replacing
