Need help with P1444 Evap Code

Hi I have a 99 maxima with a p1444 Evap code. It’s for Evap canister purge volume control valve circuit I’ve changed the purge valve and it didn’t fix the problem and the car is stalling out sometimes low RPMs. I’ve changed some other things that AutoZone recommended but none of those fixed it.

sounds like you need a new charcoal canister, you could also have a blockage in a line but that is unlikely, new one from Autozone runs 200$

sounds like you need to check the rest of the system

I’ve checked and/or replaced everything else. Now the car stalls sometimes at low RPMs

Time to look for a vacuum leak. Perform a smoke test.

Maybe a bad ecu. If it is and it’s giving false codes, will the car still have problems associated with that code?

Tried that also. But it was my first time and I’m thinking I didn’t do it right. I think it saw somewhere It said I had to have a certain valves closed or open or something like that. Going to figure that out and try it again.
