I wasn't really into trying this but looking back I would have shot myself if I hadn't.
It took me a whole 45min. to do this job. I got the pads from GOT RICE. I was a bit skeptical as I am SURE he will tell you. How can you get pads for $30 that are worth
anything?! I can tell you that they made as much of an impact on me as the FSTB and the CAI and they only cost me $30. GOT RICE has an awsome thing going here. I think that they were Axis Metal pads...GOT RICE? I should know, right? But anyway...thanks to him for great pads. I can now 'feel' the brakes and am certain that my stopping distances have
decreased. Oh yea....they don't squeak either!

Also..thanks to Daniel, our DIY'er, who convinced me to try it. I bought the Haynes manual for $15 and went to town. I am doing my belts this weekend and hope to do struts in Feb.

Thanks to all who helped!

I got the same pads as you did from Phuong. I just installed them, and I didn't really "test" them out yet. I would hope that with the news pads, it will feel much different. Another reason why I got them is that there will be lesser brake dusts. My rims are really hard to clean once brake dusts settle in. It's the 15 spoked kind of rims; very hard to clean. With the prices that I got from Phuong, I'm defintely going to be ordering more stuff from him in the future.
