I have a 97 black se(auto).I recently acquired it and i am deciding on what i want to mod it with,so at this time it is completely stock. One of my best friends has a 2000 Ram Air Grand Am.I think it has 175hp.Anyway,his is an auto as well.Anyway,we were both in town and happened to get lined up at a red light. We both started revving, the light turned, and he smoked me.Could this be true? HAs anybody else raced one? If so,did you win? Was mine just mistake on my part? Please,if anyone has any answers,i would appreciate it.

I had one, and the only thing I liked was that it was quick and the tranny was fantastic. Everything else sucked.
Rented a Grand AM GT once and it was quick or so it felt. It revved really fast and shifted just as quick. Got Sh*ty gas mielage and the governor cut me out at 107 or something like that. ALso didn't handle as well as the MAx. Straight line acceleration gives you a false sense of capabilities in other areas.
