Hey does anyone know how fast the Volvo sport wagons are with the 5 cyc turbo? Well i just lost to a old man in one. I was at a light coming back from Wendy's so im going (about 25?) and i hear this car spool up next to me and i turn my head. I see this Volvo wagon rocketing off so i said screw this and ropmt on it, i caught up to him and started to pass him. I had about half a car length and then i saw the sign that said right lane ends, merge left. I thought great. I didn't have enough power to catch him faster and pass him so i had to slow down and let him go or hit the gaurd rail and crash. I don't know if this is worse then getting beat by a damn Honda. Well I see it, the S/C hunt is now on.

 

Volvo turboes are fast! They have great moddability too. Maybe this one was modded? You normally won't hear the turbo spool in a stock car(low boost+weak sounding BOV)

 

there's two engines, one is high boost, one is low boost, both 5 cylinder.

one is 248 hp, one is 198 hp.

You won't touch one w/o some major mods if it is the high boost motor!

 

talk about a sleeper.

of all the cars that would go faster than 140 mph.They listed the 300zTT as a top speed of 154, and the Volvo Turbo wagon as 152. I remember because we kept slammin' our boss who just bought a new Z. It may not have the same pick up as the Z but i wouldn't screw with it. Those yuppie soccer moms are crazy!

 

Well, now that you guys tell me that they are that fast i feel better. What i raced was a Volvo 850 Sportwagon Turbo. I remember seeing the Sportwagon and how under it said Turbo. I was pissed last night about this. I'm still pissed. How do I get my *** beat by a old man in a Volvo?!?! Insane stuff. I still don't understand how i was able to catch him and start to pass him if that car or wagon is that fast? Maybe the driver just sucks, but i still lost and that's not an excuse

 

before he killed it!

 

I got killed by one of those the other day too.....I wasn't gonna mention it because it really hurt!! That Volvo accelerates so fast! I will not be racing any more turbocharged cheese boxes.
