Re: more!!!

This is what happens when old people are allowed to drive... short version.... bumper to bumper traffic on Sunday... old man and his wife in a SUV in front of me... 20-25mph... 15 feet between cars... old man not paying attention... hits breaks... I hit breaks... slid under his truck... scratched his bumper in two places... carbon fiber hood... here I come...

Whoops.

Like you said, a good reason to get a CF hood...and do an S4 headlight conversion like someone else on the .org was doing

Still, bumper-to-bumper, rear-end...you sure it's the old man's fault? What'd the cops have to say?

Good luck gettin the max back into action.

Sorry to have say this, but it seems to me that YOU are the one who wasn't paying attention - not to mention following way too closely.

At 25mph you're travelling at 36 feet per second. If you have really good reflexes, it takes about half a second for the following three things to happen: 1) your brain recognizes that you need to stop; 2)your brain sends a message to move your foot to the brake pedal; 3) your foot moves to the brake pedal and pushes it down.

I'm no math whiz, but it's easy to figure that in half a second at 25mph, you travel 18 feet. You were 15 feet behind the guy in front of you.

What happened is no big surprise.

This is what happens when young people with more faith in their abilities than actual experience are allowed drive.

Maybe you should get a big brake kit along with that c/f hood.

yea, he's right. Most of the time (actually all of the time unless you get cut off), it's the person who's behind is at fault.
