Trunk light
My trunk light doesn't work and I just put a new bulb in. Is there a fuse for this light and if so, does anyone know which fuse it is? Also, where is the button that causes the light to turn on and off?(what I mean is a button that comes into contact with the trunk when it is closed like on your refrigerator) Thanks in advance.

Kk, i ran out to check it for u. I see a red wire connected on the top trunk hinge. the bottom hinge (connected to the fender) only has the trunk unlock switch. So yea, check the red wire. I looked at the fuse box.... it could be the one labeled "ELEC PARTS" or perhaps its connected to the "TAILLIGHTS" or the "STOPLIGHT". sorry, i'm not sure, just check em all. well good luck.
btw- i have a 96 SE... just incase if its a diff setup on a diff year
There is a "tilt switch" on the left side of the trunk underneath the rear deck. Here is where the left hinge of the trunk meets the switch in turning the light on and off. Sometimes this switch "sticks" after a while. Just lube it with die-electric grease and you'll be fine. The fuse for the trunk light is connected to the circuit marked "elec parts", I believe. It has a 7.5 fuse rating. If you pull this out, the interior dome lights and step lights on the doors should go out. This will also turn the trunk light off.
