Do OEM Brake Pads Have Wear Sensors?

I bought front and rear OEM brake pads and had them put on today. My mechanic showed me that each set of both the front and rear pads had only one wear sensor each. The brakes that came off had sensors on each pair for each wheel. Should there be wear sensors on the pads for each wheel on OEM pads?
I searched first.
Thanks in advance..

I replaced my rear pads 2 months ago and I asked the parts manager that exact same question and he said that they stopped making them in pairs about a year ago. Cost savings? I don't know. but if u put it on the right way , they should wear the same.
