Throttle Cable

Can somebody tell me how hard it is to replace the throttle cable? It seems that my max is not accelerating as well when I hit the gas and found that the cable was bit loose. Thanks for the help.

I would suggest that you lube and adjust it; I wouldn't change it unless it was broken or frayed. To adjust, loosen the lock nut and tighten the other nut until the throttle body butterfly begins to move. Back off on the nut 1-1/2 turns, then tighten the lock nut.

It is very easy to tighten. But be sure not to overtighten it. There should still be some slack when you push it up and down. Feel how tight your cruise control cable is, and try to match that.

Also, I doubt you're looking in the right area. Are you saying you have problems with accelerating, possibly downshifting? If yes, then that's another issue.
