only LCD/no tuner???
only LCD/no tuner???
I want to get a TV for my Max. My friend said that there is no way for me to get a TV that has an FM tuner(which apparently most do) and keep my stock BOSE system. Does anyone know if it is possible to still just buy the moniter? I am pretty sure that it was possible back in the day but I dont know now. If it were possible couldnt I just put the moniter in the 1 din below the BOSE head unit and keep my BOSE system???
Re: only LCD/no tuner???
Keep the BOSE.
Your options:
1) Just buy the LCD monitor, but you'll have to mount it yourself. The LCD monitor will come with a video-in and power feed wires, might have some adjustments on it depending on the type you get (power on/off, brightness, contrast, color, etc).
2) Buy a 1-DIN in-dash monitor (motorized or manual, your choice). Most of the motorized ones come with a TV tuner built in.
I don't think the Bose units have a line-in, so you have no choice but to get a FM modulator and tune your Bose radio to the frequency that works best in your area.
Or you could hunt around, I'm sure you can find an all-in-one LCD tv/fm/cd to replace your Bose. You'll also be looking at new speakers.
