I'm sooo happy with my new purchase. Completely loaded SE with everything! The only thing I'm semi-disappointed with is the Bose stereo. I thought it was gonna have a lot more base than what i'm hearing. Any ideas on how to fix this? i REALLy don't want to take out the bose face in the dash. One more question... does anyone know if the Windows can be rolled down using the remote on a 5th Gen.?? My '96 has windows that can roll down if you hold down the "unlock" button. I tried this with my 2k max's remote, and it wouldn't work..... Did they discontinue this feature?

I am not sure about the stereo request, but yes they discontinued the roll down feature.

Yes and no. 2000 and 2001 ----> no feature. 2002, yes.

Congrats on your purchase. What colors? Did you get automatic or manual? I'm leaning towards manual for my next car.
You will want to look into the TSB thread and be aware of some problems to look for. Did the previous owner get any things fixed?

Warning: If you stay around this forum, you'll get an itch to modify your car.

You can always keep your headunit and og with an aftermarket amp and speaker setup. The auto roll down frature they brought back in 2K2.

i have my bass increased by three bars on the bose headunit, which is ample for me, any higher it becomes overpowering - but then again, it can vary depending on your taste in music.

Actually, I've been a member of the org since Sept 11, 2000... what a date huh?.... I've had a '96 gxe for the last three years and it's been great. Now that I got a full ride to college.. my parents gave me this car as a gift. It saved them money.. (16,400 vs. 80,000+ for college). I'm VERY familiar with .org.. i'm not a new member, just a new 5th gen owner. thanks for all your helpful input. anyone remember the name of the company that makes adapters for you to use bose head unit with aftermarket speakers, or vise versa?

I was wondering the same thing about my 2K I30t. Does anyone know why Nissan took this feature away from the 2k-2k1 models? I am also unhappy with the bass from my factory sub. I’m wondering if I can figure out the wiring scheme, and will an aftermarket sub work with the factory amp? If anyone has tried this please respond.

One more quick question. Does the 2k Max SE have traction control?
